Pack Pack's Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your personal data.

What is personal data?

We believe any information which can be used to personally identify you is considered to be personal data. This includes information such as your name, email address, location, what you post to the service, and who you interact with on the service.

What kinds of information does Pack Pack collect?

We do our best to collect only the minimum amount of information required to provide our services to you. This includes information such as:

  • Account Information. Your Pack Pack account details, including your email address.
  • Contact information. Data such as your name, email address, and phone number which may be required to contact you about our services.
  • Transaction Information. We keep information about your financial transactions with Pack Pack.
  • Analytical Information. Data such as application crash reports, performance, IP address, and diagnostic information.
  • Other Information You Provide to Us. The data you post to the service.

Data Pack Pack Receives from Others

  • People. Pack Pack may collect info about you from other people, such as if someone has shared content with you or reports your activity on the service.
  • Partners. We receive information about you, such as your email address and name, as part of being able to sign in with those partners to use our service.

How Pack Pack Uses Your Personal Data

  • To Provide Our Service. We collect and retain the minimum amount of data required to provide our service to you.
  • Transaction Processing. We keep information about your financial transactions with us for audit and corporate finance purposes.
  • Communication with you. We may reach out to you about your transactions, content you post to the service, legal notices, and verification purposes.
  • Security. In order to maintain a safe and secure service, free from harassment, hate speech, and illegal content.
  • Legal Obligations. To fulfill legal government requests such as warrants as well as tax and financial reporting requirements.

How Pack Pack Shares Your Personal Data

As a general rule, Pack Pack does not share your personal information with 3rd parties except as required by law. However, Pack Pack, at its sole discretion, may share your information with law enforcement if deemed necessary for issues of public safety.

  • Advertising and Marketing. Pack Pack does not share your personal data for these purposes.
  • Technical Partners. Your data may be shared with technical partners strictly for the purposes of providing our service. For example, we may use a partner service to send transactional emails or SMS messages to customers who need to reset their password.
  • Acqusitions and Mergers. Your personal information may be shared if required as part of Pack Pack's acquisition or merger with another entity.

Any 3rd party with whom we share data will provide the same or equal protection of user data.

Cookies

Pack Pack may use cookies when required for technical purposes, such as logging in to the service. We may also use cookies for analytical purposes. We do not use cookies to advertise or market to you. We do not provide cookie data to any 3rd parties.

Data Deletion Policy

Being in control of your data is a fundamental belief at Pack Pack. From within the app, you can:

  • Delete anything you have submitted to the service on a one-off basis.
  • Schedule how long your content should remain available before it is automatically deleted.
  • Schedule your account and all related data to be deleted.

All data deletion is permanent and unrecoverable except in cases where we are legally required to persist data longer as part of a request by law enforcement. When your data is deleted, it is immediately removed from the service and is no longer available for access by any users. We may also keep a "back up" copy or copies of your data solely for corporate technical disaster recovery purposes for up to 30 days, after which time it is permanently deleted.
